Telesto, Inc. offers innovative solutions and expertise to effectively address water resources related environmental issues. Projects to date focus on the following subjects:
- Water Treatment - performed a pit treatment solution for the removal of dissolved metals due to storm water overflow events. The objective was to return the dissolved metals back to a management system.
- Closure Plan - assisted with the preparation of a final permanent closure plan for an inactive precious metal mine, including long-term and short-term drainage plans, allowing the client to obtain an exit strategy with their Water Pollution Control Permit.
- Construction Dewatering - designed a field-scale test system to evaluate hydraulic properties of the aquifer at a proposed hospital campus site. A full-scale dewatering system was developed to lower the water table in preparation for the construction of hospital buildings.
- Closure Plan and Environmental Assessment - performed an environmental assessment and was successful in expediting the development of an environmentally sound closure plan for an operational gold mine, while remaining within federal and state guidelines.
- Inorganic Source Determination - performed detailed investigations at several industrial properties in order to identify the source of inorganic contamination for remediation and provided technical support for remediation activities.
- NEPA Analysis Support - conducted hydrologic and geochemical baseline evaluations in support of an analysis of potential environmental effects from a planned underground cobalt mine.
